Logistics Operations & WMS Lead · Business systems

Logistics operations, built to perform.

I lead warehouse and fulfillment operations, improve the flow of work and build the systems teams use every day. My background combines frontline logistics, people leadership, WMS development and operational analytics.

Professional profile

Operations leadership with hands-on systems delivery.

I started in inventory operations and grew into logistics leadership and WMS ownership. That experience helps me make decisions that work on the warehouse floor, not only in a presentation.

01 — Approach

The operation comes first.
Technology follows.

I begin by following the process as the team performs it: where work slows down, where information is lost and which exceptions consume the most attention.

Then I simplify the flow, define practical controls and use software where it removes friction. The goal is not more technology. It is a more reliable operation.

01

Walk the process

Understand the real sequence of work, including exceptions, handoffs and physical constraints.

02

Fix the flow

Reduce ambiguity, waiting and rework before adding another system or screen.

03

Build for real conditions

Design for scanners, unstable connections, retries, traceability and daily operational pressure.

02 — Selected projects

Systems shaped by
warehouse reality.

These cases come from documented operational flows, source code and test environments. The project names are intentionally neutral and no production data is shown.

CASE 01

Unified warehouse platform

Warehouse Operations Suite

A shared entry point for three warehouse applications: route-based picking, box-based dispatch and inventory operations.

What it changes Teams access the tools from one place while each workflow keeps its own rules, data and release cycle.

Operations architectureSystem integrationChange enablement
Challenge
Reduce fragmentation without forcing a risky rewrite of workflows already used in daily operations.
What I built
A multi-application workspace with shared routing, one build output and API dispatch to each module.
Technology
Node.js, Express, npm workspaces, Vite and JavaScript.
Architecture notes +

The workspace keeps source, APIs, documentation and database migrations separated by module. A root build assembles them under dedicated routes, which simplifies access without hiding ownership or coupling the applications unnecessarily.

CASE 02

Picking execution

Picking Execution System

A scan-first application that guides operators by warehouse address, supports group and individual picking, and keeps the session recoverable when connectivity is unstable.

What it changes Picking can continue during short network failures, while locks and session recovery reduce duplicated work.

Warehouse executionOffline resiliencePerformance visibility
Challenge
Route operators through product locations, protect ownership of work and avoid losing progress when the network drops.
What it does
Scans SKU/EAN, orders the route by address, locks warehouse blocks, restores sessions and tracks operational pace.
Technology
Vite, JavaScript ES Modules, Supabase REST/RPC, IndexedDB, Service Worker, Vercel Functions and Google Apps Script.
Operational design
Events are stored locally first, sent in the background and protected against duplicate processing.
Technical decisions +

Every confirmed withdrawal becomes an IndexedDB event with retry and idempotency. Session snapshots support recovery. Block locks renew through a heartbeat so two operators do not work the same warehouse segment at the same time.

CASE 03

Dispatch orchestration

Picking by Box

A dispatch workflow that starts with a manifest and follows each order through product scanning, box allocation, non-located exceptions, weighing and carrier documentation.

What it changes Operators and supervisors see the same order status from separation to collection, including NL and SLA risks.

FulfillmentException managementOperational analytics
Challenge
Coordinate picking, packing, exceptions, weighing and handoff without losing order-level traceability.
What it does
Assigns boxes, tracks scanned quantities, locks NL work, monitors SLA and produces manifests, labels, PDFs and CSVs.
Technology
Vite, JavaScript ES Modules, Supabase, Vercel Functions, Google Apps Script, jsPDF and Chart.js.
System scope +

Separate screens support picking, non-located items, order consultation, carrier manifests and supervision. The application also normalises data from external systems and keeps print workflows reusable across labels, pending lists and transport reports.

CASE 04

Inventory control

Inventory Operations Platform

An inventory platform for inbound counts, address allocation, scanner lookup, relocation, column audits, stock counts and integration monitoring.

What it changes Stock movements remain traceable from receipt to storage, audit, counting and downstream synchronisation.

Inventory controlAuditabilityProcess reliability
Challenge
Coordinate high-frequency inventory routines while protecting address quality and integration traceability.
What it does
Supports inbound controls, suggested addressing, scanner lookup, relocation, bulk audits, mixed-item buffers and stock counts.
Technology
Vite, JavaScript ES Modules, Supabase JS, Bootstrap, Vercel Functions, IndexedDB and Google Apps Script.
Control design
Uses locks, local outbox, retry and a central queue with health, aging and reprocessing views.
Process and data notes +

The platform also includes a read-only stock map with occupancy, movement heatmaps and confidence levels for calculated balances. It distinguishes confirmed, estimated and unsupported quantities instead of presenting inferred stock as fact.

03 — Other projects

More problems, solved in context.

Finance, freight, sales and support tools built around a specific decision or workflow.

Returns workflow05

Returns Management Workflow

A guided returns flow for locating an RMA, checking SKU/EAN and quantities, receiving items and printing labels.

  • Supabase Storage + Edge Functions
  • PostgreSQL RPCs and views
  • Vite / JavaScript
Project notes +

Completed returns are protected from further editing. The workflow also supports EAN-13 labels and chunked CSV imports for operational updates.

Procurement support06

Consumables Inventory

A local inventory and replenishment dashboard for materials, suppliers, exceptions and requests.

  • Demand and lead-time signals
  • Supplier monitoring
  • Vite / Express / SQL.js
Project notes +

Includes a replenishment map, priority exceptions, supplier monitoring, material requests and traceable PDF attachments where available.

Economics education07

Financial Organisation in Practice

An educational personal-finance app for monthly cash flow, debts, savings goals and year-over-year history, designed without login or server-side storage.

  • Income, expenses, debt and goals
  • Excel, PDF and JSON export
  • Python / Streamlit / Pandas / Plotly
Freight intelligence08

FreteFlow

A local freight simulator that compares carrier tables against real order attributes or a list of destination postcodes.

  • Intelipost table variants
  • Per-order and single-carrier scenarios
  • React / TypeScript / FastAPI / Python
Project notes +

The engine calculates postcode coverage, weight, cubage, excess weight, ad valorem, minimum freight and standard Intelipost charges. It compares one-carrier and best-per-order scenarios while making estimation limits visible. Files stay local.

Audit & controls09

Freight, DIFAL & ICMS Audit

A document-chain audit that reconciles carrier spreadsheets, NF-e XML, bank receipts and tax guides before approving reimbursement.

  • Document-chain reconciliation
  • Tax and addition classification
  • Python / Streamlit / pandas
Project notes +

The workflow separates principal tax from fines, interest and monetary correction, supports consolidated guides and flags missing documents. When authorised, it can retrieve missing XML from an ERP and keeps fiscal files in a local ignored cache.

Commercial analytics10

Monthly Sales Analysis

A monthly sales workspace for revenue, order volume, basket metrics, contribution estimates and short-term forecasts.

  • Rolling-origin backtesting
  • Holt, ARIMA and baseline comparison
  • Python / Streamlit / Plotly
Project notes +

Forecasts compare naïve, moving-average, Holt and ARIMA models through rolling-origin backtesting. The interface states the limits of short series, avoids silent imputation and reports MAE, RMSE, WAPE and bias on equal cut-offs.

Portfolio note

Screens use synthetic data. Production databases, credentials, private URLs and identifiable records are not included.
